Our Rides...

Above are pictures of our cars. Kara's is on the left (Chevy Cavalier) and Jeff's on the right (Kia Spectra). We are both so thrilled that Kara finally got her car fixed after almost two years of sitting in her Mom's backyard. She is so happy she doesn't have to depend on someone else for a ride. Not to mention she can get any job she wants now and not have to worry about the hours or how far it is. This will really help us both out. Thanks to everyone who made this possible!!!

Just Another Day

Well this time last week we were all mourning the death of Elvis. Okay, so maybe not everyone was mourning his death, but I'm sure some people somewhere were paying tribute to him in some way. Like a few years ago I went to visit Graceland. Maybe some day I'll get some pics up here.

Anyways, not much new going on in our lives. Just waiting to get Kara's car back. She had it for about a week, but had to take it back in. Hopefully it stays fixed this time. We'll probably go get it this weekend.

Oh did I mention that it's my birthday today? Well it is.... I'm a whopping 32 years old. Where does the time go?

Well back to work I go....

The Day the King Died

28 years ago today, the music industry and the whole world for that matter suffered a great loss in the death of Elvis Aaron Presley. Born January 8, 1935 to mother Gladys and father Vernon in Tueplo, Mississippi. Some of you may not know that Elvis had a twin brother, Jesse Garon, who was stillborn.

No one could ever imagine that this little boy would change music forever and make it what it is today. No matter what anyone says, Elvis will always be the King!!

Even today, Elvis is still number one... he is the highest grossing "deceased" entertainer to date. The Elvis name still brings in an annual income of 40 million dollars. That's pretty impressive even for a "live" entertainer.

A New Month

Today's the first day of August 2005. It's our 17 month anniversary of being together. I figured I'd better put that in or else.

The Buick Open was this past weekend at Warwick Hills Golf & CC here in Grand Blanc. For those of you who don't know or even care to know, Vijay Singh won for the second straight year just beating out Tiger by 4 strokes.

We had a good time this weekend camping and sightseeing along the Lake Michigan shoreline. I also got to play golf on Sunday. Summers almost over, have to get in as much outdoor stuff as possible.

Hope everyone has a great August!!
