Merry Christmas Everyone!!

I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas this year. Kara and I had a very nice one. We went to her Aunt Irene's house on Christmas Eve for a family get together. Both of our mothers were there with us. There was lots of wonderful food and alcohol for everyone!! We all had a great time.

Kara and I spent the night at my Mom's place, so we wouldn't have to make that long drive back home. It was nice to spend Christmas morning with my Mom, we haven't been together on Christmas for quite sometime. She made us a wonderful breakfast also.

We got back home around 2pm or so. Then we got to open our gifts from each other. We just love opening presents...especially Kara. This was our second Christmas together and it was wonderful. Here's a list of the stuff we both got....

Kara's Stuff: Blender, candle burner (w/tarts), bath and shower gels, MP3 player. She also got stuff from her boss. Winter coat, shirt, silver bracelet and $200 gift card for Target. She made out this year!!

Jeff's Stuff: Computer chair, video game, fleece, t-shirts and a couple pairs of pants. Our gift for both of us was a camcorder.

We also got some flannel sheets from my Mom and sheets and comforter from her Mom.

Hope everyone has a safe and fun New Year!!

Thanksgiving Day

Kara and I picked up my Mom early Thanksgiving morning. We went and had a nice breakfast before getting on the road to Ohio to visit Lynn (my sister), Willie and the kids. Although it's a boring 3 hour ride from Detroit, being with Kara and my Mom made it more enjoyable. We made it there in time to see the Lions' get there butts kicked....again. Shortly after dinner was ready and what a wonderful dinner it was.....thanks Willie!!

The next day we were all just kinda sitting there...not much to do. The kids went outside to go sledding down the hill in the backyard. As I was watching them through the window, I thought to myself... "that really looks like fun....it's been years since I did that". So I decided to get my coat on and go join them. I'm glad I did...it was a blast. I came in only after a few times down, but I did go back out. This time Kara came out and Mom was just watching....within a few minutes even Mom was sledding down the hill. It was so much fun...all of us old people out there acting like kids again. I loved it!!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!!!
